Welcome to Samarth! This is our first step towards making this world a better place. Here’s a detailed guide of the Compassionate workshop.

Our main objectives

  • Spreading awareness towards COVID-19 precautions.

  • Raising funds for COVID patients.

  • Expressing our gratitude towards healthcare workers.

1.What is COVID-19? Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people and those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, and cancer are more likely to develop serious illness. The best way to prevent and slow down transmission is to be well informed about the COVID-19 virus, the disease it causes, and how it spreads. Protect yourself and others from infection by washing your hands or using an alcohol-based rub frequently and not touching your face.

2.How do we plan to raise funds? We plan to raise funds for the people affected by COVID-19 through a registered NGO. Everyone can now support directly the response coordinated by WHO. People and organizations who want to help fight the pandemic and support WHO and partners can now donate through the COVID-Solidarity Response Funds for WHO at www.COVID19ResponseFundss.org.

  • How do the people know their money is in right hands?

The World Health Organization (WHO) is leading and coordinating the global effort, supporting countries to prevent, detect, and respond to the pandemic. It is a specialized and trusted agency of the United Nations responsible for international public health that ensures that the countries of the world are furnished with adequate health resources.

  • Why must you donate?

COVID-10 is an infectious disease that has affected people to a very high extent, both, physically and mentally. There are several who die of the virus due to a lack of adequate resources. In a developing country like India, the circumstances become worse, especially with the economic crisis advancing. While we express gratitude towards our health and the food on our table, it is our responsibility as the youth of this country that we take initiative and help our community in the finest possible way.

3. How would we express our gratitude towards healthcare workers? In order to express thy thankfulness, you as the responsible youth have to record a short video conveying your gratitude. The context of your video could be your appreciation and empathy along with a broad hopeful smile :D Videos to be shared with us via Email: teamsamarthngo@gmail.com. Thereby, these videos would be compiled and ferried to the hospitals and nursing centers on 18th October’20 i.e., the National Doctors’ Day. Last date of submission- 30th September, 2020 What are the volunteers expected to accomplish? Every volunteer is welcomed to attend Samarth conferences every fortnight (optional) so that opinions of each volunteer are taken into account and we are able to aspire beyond fences! Furthermore, the volunteers are expected to publicize the program and introduce their peers to the same. This way, we would be able to expand our battalion and achieve by leaps and bounds. Additionally, the volunteers should be willing to take frequent initiatives and should contribute to each workshop in accordance with our instructions [the plan has been discussed above].
